Introduced annual forb to 1m tall, usually with a perennial rootstock. Leaves alternating up the stems, 6-20cm long, 30-120mm wide, flat, sticky hairy, margins almost entire or somewhat toothed or lobed towards the base. Flowers white with green veins, tubular, with 5 lobes, appearing 10-lobed, solitary on short stalks arising from the bases of the leaves. Fruiting body with many sharp spines. Noxious weed Vic.
